On top of this you won't find many ugly purpose built resorts in Austria. Skiers often complain that the purpose built resort in France lack character and charm but most of the ski resort in Austria are old mountain towns and village that have grown into ski resorts over the years and so have keep hold of their traditional Alpine feel.
