Catered ski chalets are more popular than ever for ski holidays at the moment and iSki has a huge range of options to choose from. They vary in size from small 6 person chalets to large 20-40 person chalets and you can also get 'chalet hotels' (a small hotel which is run on chalet board).
You will find catered ski chalets in 90% of all of the big French ski holiday destination. However, outside of France they are a bit harder to find. If you want to try and avoid the French resorts then a great bet is to look at St Anton in Austria where you will find an abundance of of catered ski chalets aimed at UK holiday makers. Outside of St Anton you will also find ski chalets is other resorts such as Lech, Solden and Ischgl to name but a few.
Ski Chalets and Chalet Hotels are run on what is known as 'chalet board'. This means that you get breakfast, afternoon tea (normally with cakes and biscuits), and evening meals with unlimited wine whilst you dine. Your chalet host or hosts will get one day off during the week so you will have to eat out on one evening but you will still get breakfast that morning and afternoon tea will still be left out for you.

Skiing with your children is one of the most fantatic family experinecs that you and your children can ever have but it does some with its complications. If you have only ever skied with adult parties of experienced skiers then there is a lot more to think about. The most obvious extra that you will need to think about is ski school for the kids. This can be arranged along wioth nearly every chalet holiday but there is a whole host of other more specialst options that you might want to consider as well.
Not all operators of chalets will provide child care, so if you want your children to be looked after either before or after ski school, so that you can make the most of your time on the slopes, then you need to think about it before you begin your search. If you are happy to use teh local child care facilities that most resorts offer then you can pretty much go ahead and book any chalet that takes your fancy, but if you want the convenience of being able to book the child care as party of the package, and you want the security of knowing that yourchild is being looked after by the same company through whom you have booked your holiday then why not giveus a call before starting your search so that we can guide you in the right direction. 0203 7780 123.
It is alway the dream to get a chalet that is 'ski in ski out'. The be able to ski to and from the door of your accommodation is the untimate conventince when staying in a chalet on your ski holiday.
Here at iSki we have catalogued the distance to the piste from nearly all of the chalets that we have on our books to make it easy for you to choose a chalet with the right location for your ski group. As you can probably imagine, the closer to the piste you are the more expesnive the chalet normally is, so whether you want something that is less than 20m to the piste, or whether you are happy to settle for 200m and a 2-3 minute walk, it should be extremely easy to find what you are looking for using the iSki search facility.
