Apres Ski in Murren

Apres Ski Info

The après ski in Murren is ver low key so don't book a ski holiday to Murren thinking that it will be anything like a holiday that you might have had in Verbier row St Anton. That said, there is enough to keep you going if you are just after a few friendly drinks after a hard day on the slopes and if a few friendly drinks turns in to a few more friendly drinks then you can also ways carry things on at Blumli Challer (open until about 5 or 6am) which is where everyone goes when they just can't face the fact that the après ski drinks should have finished 4 hours earlier.

Non ski activities and alternative après ski in Murren

A must visit when on holiday in Murren is the 'Piz Gloria' revolving restaurant at the top of Schilthorn. It was used in the filming of James Bond 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service' so it  is well worth getting a few snaps for the holiday album. Another trip that is worth doing is the visit to the top of the Jungfraujoch on the cog railway. Up at 3454m it is the highest railway station in Europe and the views are amazing.

As of winter season 2014/15 sledgers will find happiness on the new toboggan run Apollo. The wide, sunny path starts from the Schiltgrat station, goes through Schiltalp, Gimmeln and all the way down to Mürren. There is also a Sports and Wellness Centre in Murren for those days that you might not fancy heading out to the piste or if you decide to head home early.
