Skiing in Cervinia

The skiing in Cervinia offers a variety of runs from beginner all the way through to advanced although the majority of the skiing is probably suited to intermediate and upper-intermediate skiers. In the region as a whole, there are 33 blue runs, 77 red runs and 28 black runs. The longest run in the area is 22km long and really gets the leg muscles working.

Beginners skiing Cervinia ***

Beginners skiing in Cervinia will begin the week on the nursery slopes which are accessed from lift D and H in the village centre. Within a couple of days you will be able to progress onwards and upwards onto the skiing that an be accessed from lift E. The blue run down from Plan Torrette will provide a good challenge before you head higher up the mountain to test what you have learnt on the rest of the beginner runs that Cervinia has to offer.

Intermediate skiing Cervinia *****

The intermediate skiing in Cervinia is plentiful. There is an abundance of challenging blue and red runs and enough skiing to keep even the most adventurous of intermediate skiers happy. From the top of Plateau Rosa there is a 10km run all the way down into the centre of Cervinia as well as a 22km run which takes you all the way down to the heart of the neighbouring Valtournenche. As well as the intermediate skiing in Cervinia and Valtourneche there is also loads of skiing available in Zermatt, on the Swiss side of the region and intermediate skiers will definitely want to purchase the full area international pass to benefit from the full 350km of piste that is on offer.

Advanced skiing Cervinia *****

With access to 28 black runs there is plenty of advanced skiing in Cervinia and the region as a whole. Advanced skiers will love the challenging black run which heads down towards Pan Torrette and the Bardoney mogul run. The long descents down from Plateau Rosa are also a must do for advanced skiers holidaying in Cervinia and a full area pass is a must as you will definitely want to experience the challenging skiing that Zermatt has on offer.
