Niederau is part of the Ski Juwel, which links them to other great resorts such as Alpbach. In the Ski Juwel there are 145km of slopes with 32km blue, 78km red and 35km black pistes. Niederau and Oberau have long been a family favorite thanks to its great value holidays, short transfer and the nursery slopes run into the town center.
Niederau is excellent for beginners and learner skiers as the nursery slopes are in the center of each village, and the ski schools also have an excellent reputation.
The best slopes for intermediates are at the top of the Markbachjoch gondola and the Lanerkopfl chairlift. As the Wildschonau is now linked to Alpbach forming the Ski Juwel, there are some fantastic red runs in Alpbach that are perfectly suited for intermediates.
Around Niederau there are 4 exciting black runs and a few mogul fields, as well as some off-piste routes for the more adventurous.
Most of the slopes within the Ski Juwel are nice and wide-open, great for beginners and intermediates. There are also 3 snowparks to have a play on.
