Central location, 10 minutes' walk to the Penken gondola, ski bus stops outside Recently renovated with a new lift and sauna area. Lounge and small bar. Free WiFi in lounge
A change is afoot at the Posthotel Mayrhofen. There's a lot of revamping going on ready for the new season - and it's not just a lick of paint. Plans include a new lift and sauna area.
The Posthotel is not too far from the gondolas - about 10 minutes to the Penken - though the ski buses stop pretty much outside the front door so you don't need to trek there in your ski boots. You'll get a hearty Zillertal breakfast to fuel your day on the slopes and then in the evening you have a choice - either upgrade to half board and grab your dinner at the nearby Hotel Rose or stick with bed and breakfast and explore the variety of restaurants in Mayrhofen.
